Finalists Announced for Hellman’s Design a Dish Competition

Five budding chefs have made it through to the finals of the Hellmann’s Vinaigrettes competition.

The finalists are: Angela Maioran, chef, Partnerships in Care Colin Scott, licensee, The Greyhound Steven Smith, head chef, University of Durham, Jamie Perry, head chef, Hallmark Hotel and Spa, James Thompson, junior sous chef, Cedar Court Grand Hotel
Chefs can choose from five varieties: • Hellmann’s balsamic vinaigrette, with balsamic vinegar from Modena and strawberry note • Hellmann’s basil vinaigrette, with Acacia honey & ginger • Hellmann’s citrus vinaigrette, with lemon juice from Murcia and lemon peel note • Hellmann’s raspberry vinaigrette, with blackcurrant juice • Hellmann’s sesame soy vinaigrette, with roasted sesame seeds
Voting is open from today (4 July) until 22 July. People can log on to www.hellmannsdressingsforchefs.co.uk to pick their favourite dish. Participants will also have the chance to win an iPod Shuffle in the prize draw.
The winner will be rewarded a trip to New York.
